The Professional Association of Self-Caterers UK (PASC UK) was established in 2017 to represent the sector to government and lobby on its behalf.

PASC UK acts as the go-to point of reference for the professional self-caterer on everything from lobbying, regulation, and business rates – to hot tubs, electric vehicle charging, and dogs!

Membership is available for just £80 per year for a single cottage. Click here for further details.

Lobbying

PASC UK Chair, Alistair Handyside, and the team work tirelessly to lobby on behalf of the sector – most recently following the spring budget, which announced the abolishment of the furnished holiday lettings tax regime.

Previously, PASC UK was instrumental in the preparation of cleaning guidelines to allow self-catering businesses to reopen during COVID-19 – securing grant funding and business rates holidays for the sector. Post-COVID, PASC UK has curated and funded a national campaign to stop insurers deducting payments during the pandemic period.

PASC UK also played a key role in the development and refinement of the small paying guest accommodation fire safety guidelines, and continues to lobby for suitable regulation for the sector.
