Holiday Cottage Handbook Podcast

Tax and regulation have dominated the agenda for short-term rental hosts and property managers this year – and it’s those subjects which provided the most downloads for the Holiday Cottage Handbook Podcast in 2024.


Overall, our shows were listened to in 86 countries and 1,271 cities. Apple Podcasts, our website, and Spotify were the most popular listening platforms, while the iPhone was by far the most popular listening device. When combined, the downloads, streams, and social media views for our various podcasts added up to hundreds of thousands during 2024!

Our most popular episode this year featured Matt Jeffery, Tax Partner at Zeal, discussing essential tax knowledge for holiday let investors after the government announced the abolishment of the furnished holiday lettings (FHL) tax regime.


PASC UK Chair, Alistair Handyside, took second and fourth place on our list with episodes discussing lobbying efforts in relation to the FHL tax regime and the future of the self-catering sector.


Boostly’s Mark Simpson came third for his episode sharing direct booking tips and what he really thinks of Airbnb (spoiler alert: he loves them really).


Fifth place was taken by Rob Dix, Co-Founder of The Property Hub, who outlined the 18-year property cycle and the power of inflation.
